On 30 June 2025, 70 new Sub-Prefecture Guards completed their training programme at the Abidjan Police Academy during a ceremony that also marked the presentation of their insignia.
Organised by the Human Resources Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior and Security, the programme began on 2 June and was designed to prepare the new officers for deployment to prefectoral services.
The training enabled participants to strengthen their understanding of the rules governing their profession as well as the rights and responsibilities associated with public service. Practical areas relating to professional discipline, protection of administrative facilities and personalities, and reception of users within public services were also covered.
Preparing employees before they take up their duties is an essential part of successful professional integration. It gives new staff the knowledge, standards and reference points required to perform their responsibilities effectively.
For the Human Resources Directorate, employee integration therefore begins well before the first day at a new post. It is built through training, guidance and the transmission of a shared professional culture.
The initiative contributes to the continuous development and professionalisation of personnel serving within Côte d’Ivoire’s prefectoral administration.
