On 27 June 2026, the first Sub-Prefecture of Yakassé-Feyassé, in the Indénié-Djuablin Region, was officially inaugurated by the Minister of the Interior and Security.
The new facility forms part of a wider programme to modernise Territorial Administration. During the same visit, foundation stones were laid for the future residence of the Yakassé-Feyassé Sub-Prefect and for future sub-prefecture offices in Aniassué and Niablé.
These investments address two important objectives: strengthening the presence of the State throughout the country and providing administrative authorities with an appropriate working environment.
For local communities, stronger territorial administration also means easier access to administrative services and closer interaction with State representatives.
Infrastructure modernisation complements the Ministry's human resources efforts in areas such as staff deployment, mobility, professional support, capacity building and working conditions.
