A total of 23 executives and staff members of the Ministry of the Interior and Security were awarded distinctions in Côte d’Ivoire’s Order of Merit of the Public Service.
The recipients included members of the Prefectoral Corps, local authority personnel and sub-prefecture guards. Beyond the individual honours, the ceremony recognised the daily contribution of women and men whose work supports territorial administration and the delivery of public services.
Held from 23 to 26 June under the theme “Together, let us build a citizen-friendly public service,” the National Public Service Days also provided an opportunity for several Ministry structures to present their missions, reforms and achievements to the public.
Recognition of merit is also an important dimension of human resources management. Effective public institutions rely not only on procedures and structures, but above all on competent, committed and motivated people.
